At the frontier, the stakes are different. When a critical system is failing, or a researcher is searching for a cancer treatment, the value of a better answer can dwarf the cost of intelligence. We want the best reasoning, the deepest insight, the fastest breakthrough.
Every advance will bring harder problems within reach. And solving them will make further progress more valuable.
A model’s lead is temporary. Leadership at the frontier must be earned again and again, through relentless research, experimentation, and discovery.
